I even bought a calender of Doisneau's work to admire it at home.
Maybe some facts about Doisneau at this point:

Some points of his life:
He is a french photographer who lived from 1912-1994. He is famous for his "modest, playful and ironic images" of people of different social classes who he was encounting in the streets of Paris. The unexpected moments in eveyday life were more attrective to him than anything planned.
After his studies at Ecole Estienne in Paris, he gets his diploma as an engraver-lothographer in 1929. Couple of years later he starts working as an industrial photographer at the Renault factories. 1939 he begins to work as a completely independent photographer.
From this moment on he is not only producing images from the streets of Paris, but receives several contracts with magazines, among others also the 'Vogue' fashion magazine.
He was also influenced by some very respected photographers during his career, by the works of Kertész, Atget and Cartier Bresson.

His most famous picture: Le baiser de l'Hôtel de Ville (1950)

What I like the most is the honest and often funny way of depicting the contemporary street life of Paris. Through his images I can feel the dynamic atmosphere of Paris from the last century. He shows very accurately the daily life of the 'Parisiens' as if there was nothing else to Paris.
Doisneau also dedicated many images to children.
Like having class or playing in the streets of Paris.
